Conducted in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Israel’s Ministry of Energy (MoE), and the Israel Innovation Authority, the BIRD Energy program aims to foster collaborative research and development initiatives in various areas of clean energy. Among the approved projects spanning agrivoltaics, battery technology, CO2 reduction, energy efficiency, solar energy, and energy storage, stands the pioneering collaboration between PowerPlug, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, and Cirrus Nexus, headquartered in New York, NY.
PowerPlug and Cirrus Nexus will jointly develop an AI-driven Software as a Service (SaaS) platform dedicated to monitoring, analyzing, and reducing the carbon footprint associated with IT infrastructure across the entire IT landscape. This groundbreaking initiative encompasses on-premise IT devices, on-premise data centers, cloud resources, and cloud operations, thanks to Cirrus Nexus’s expertise.
Cirrus Nexus brings its revolutionary TrueCarbon™ platform to the table, powered by AI, enabling users to assign a cost to carbon and execute workload changes in real-time. TrueCarbon™ factors in variables such as power consumption demand, IT system utilization rates, power source composition, and environmental variables to provide clients with clear CO2 emission measures when migrating, deploying, and operating their cloud environments. This integration of TrueCarbon™ enhances the comprehensive solution offered by PowerPlug and Cirrus Nexus, furthering our commitment to reducing IT-related carbon emissions while enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability.
